On Halloween,  Metcalfe County High School was under the influence of Dracula! Dracula and his Blood Drive came and took blood from the twenty six students. There were two people who came in through the front doors because of word that was spread.  Mrs. Melissa Smith’s Nurse Aid class helped with signing people in and getting the students to the snack table to make sure everyone recovered after their donation. It is said there will be another blood drive in the Spring.

Mrs. Melissa Smith has said, “The blood drive last year was better than the one this year because there were more people to sign up.”  Dr. Benny Lile made an appearance at the high school to give blood as well. Within the time of being set up the nurse aid team made everything a bit smoother because of the help they brought to the table of setting things up.

We hope to spread the word and get more donations for the upcoming blood drive. We wish The Metcalfe Nurse Aid and Phlebotomy Team luck in getting a blood drive up and running for spring 2020!
