Colton Erwin, student at Metcalfe County High School, was diagnosed with cancer in early November. The proceeds from the Frozen 4 mile run and 2 mile walk all went to Colton and his family to help with medical expenses during his battle with cancer.

What is the Frozen 4 Mile Run?

The Frozen 4 Race is held every year in Bowling Green, Ky. The race consists of a 4-mile run or a 2 mile walk whichever participants prefer. The amazing thing about this particular race is every year a local candidate is chosen. This particular candidate receives all proceeds to help with their journey. This year MCHS student Colton Erwin was chosen for the 9th annual Frozen 4 Race.  Last year, McKinley Crain, another MCHS student,  was the recipient of the proceeds from this event. This year’s race was held on Saturday January 4th and had a record-breaking amount of people participate. The Frozen 4 Race had over 400 participants supporting Colton.

We continue our prayers for Colton and his family as he goes through this tough battle of cancer.
