The Metcalfe County Hornet Marching Band has been working very hard this year. We started the season back in July with our normal Band Camp days which are 2 weeks long. The first week practice is from 8am-12pm. The second week practice is from 8am-5pm. Our show this year is called “Look At Me”. The theme “Look At Me” is about how you look at  yourself and how you want other people to look at you, too.  It is about self-reflection and perspective and how sometimes you question if the reason why they are not paying attention to you is because it may be you. We have performed at Glasgow, Barren County, and Taylor County. We have received 2nd and 3rd place trophies overall, 2nd and 3rd in Colorguard, and 2nd and 3rd in Percussion. After Fall Break we are heading to Hopkinsville where we perform at 11 o’clock in class 1A. The next week we travel to Greenwood High School to perform in the state semifinals competition to have an opportunity to perform at state finals.
